Further he passed the audit for the higher technical management in Deutsche Bundespost (later DT AG) after post graduate training in all fields of telecommunication engineering and management.
After different assignments in the technical management of DT AG as engineering and O&M department head in Shortwave power station, Microwave, Satellite Communications and mobile communication Mr. Geiger became an assignment to work for the group abroad. He then became for two years director operations for O&M of the Saudi Telecoms microwave in KSA. Direct afterwards he became senior advisor to H.E. deputy minister MOPTT Jamil Mula and H.E. Abdulla al Dharab (no governor of CITC) for planning and installation of the first GSM network in Saudi Arabia.
Afterwards Mr. Geiger has been assigned as project manager to this-time biggest wireless project (both fixed wireless and mobile) of the DT AG group, which took place in a Joint Venture in the Philippines.
After successfully established on of the biggest WLL network Mr. Geiger had been assigned to work as senior consultant to a German vendor supporting R&D, production and turn-key implementation of WLL systems. Occupying positions as head of world-wide project management, product management and sales Mr. Geiger worked on different high scale projects with customers like Telecom Argentina, Telecom Malaysia-TMB, Syria Telecom-STE, Yemen Telecom PTC, Mozambique Telecom, Cable&Wireless Panama, Guatemala Telecom- Guatel, China Telecom. The turn-key projects involved all faces of the project from RF-planning to implementation including subscribe installation and O&M within the customer organization.
After retiring from his senior consulting position within the DT AG group, Mr. Geiger joined a German vendor involved in planning of secure networks for governmental organizations (MoI) and big private entities.
Mid 2010 Mr. Geiger co-founded GS-TELCOM to work with his team of planners to work for the planning and implementation of the new TETRA network of ARAMCO in the East Region and Shaybah based on BI-10-00112. In parallel GS-Telcom established a team of planners working for the new LTE roll-out in different cities for German mobile operators.
The team of planners consists of experienced staff working with different state-of-the-art planning tools, both indoor and outdoor. (iBwave, xgPlanner – LS telcom, PegaPlan DTAG). Further his team is supporting ARAMCO in the project proposal phase for VSAT and TETRA including SCADA and CP applications
Mr. Geiger has established very intense relations to the customer, the vendors, first to name Cassidian (now Airbus Defense and Space) and Motorola, and the GES+.
